CHAPTER 8
INFLUENCE LAB
THE SAGES OF BUSINESS

Tony Robbins is a motivational speaker who inspires people to take action. He teaches that your emotions, choices, and goals determine your fate. He believes in learning from successful people and taking big steps toward your dreams. Tony is the Guru of NLP (Nuero Linguistic Programming) and perhaps the top life coach on the planet.  When I was in the car business in the mid 1990’s myself and my collegue & friend Gary were given VIP tickets to a Tony Robbins seminal.  Back in those days he spoke of modeling, flexibility and the various types of people based on how they operate based on a cultural psychology level. His events are very passionate; almost to the point of being religious in nature. Gary got so excited being there in the high energy environment that he ran up and leaped up onto the 6-foot-high stage and jumped on Tony Robbins.  Tony caught him, spun him around and literally threw him off of the stage and into the crowd as if it were a friendly mosh pit.  The crowd held their arms up and he landed softly and perfectly.  Gary ended up highly successful the very day after that experience and maintained a solid winning streak in business for a few years.  Today he is a retired millionaire with many great memories!

Throughout history, a few wise thinkers have stood out as guiding lights for people in business and in life. These authors and speakers shared ideas that helped others believe in themselves, take action, and create success. Their lessons are still used by business leaders, entrepreneurs, and anyone trying to improve their lives.

Napoleon Hill is known for writing the book Think and Grow Rich. He studied many of the most successful people of his time and discovered that having a clear goal and a strong belief in yourself are key to success. He taught that thoughts have power and that success begins in the mind.

Dale Carnegie taught people how to work well with others. His book How to Win Friends and Influence People became a classic in the business world. He believed that kindness, listening, and showing interest in others can open many doors. His teachings are still used in sales, leadership, and communication.

Jim Rohn was a popular speaker who helped many people become better versions of themselves. He believed that success comes from daily habits and personal growth. He often said that we should not wait for things to get easier, but instead work on becoming stronger and wiser.

Stephen Covey wrote The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. His message was that true success comes from strong values, planning ahead, and working well with others. He showed that being proactive and always learning can lead to lasting results in both business and life.

Peter Drucker was a thinker who helped people understand how to manage and lead organizations. He taught that leaders should focus on what works, support their teams, and plan for the future. His ideas have helped companies grow and stay strong over time.

Tony Robbins is a motivational speaker who inspires people to take action. He teaches that your emotions, your choices, and your goals all matter. He believes in learning from successful people and taking big steps toward your dreams.

Dr. Norman Vincent Peale taught the power of positive thinking. He believed that faith and confidence can overcome fear and failure. His message helped many business people and leaders stay hopeful and strong during hard times. His words still inspire people to believe in themselves and trust that things will get better.

The wisdom of these great thinkers reminds us that success is not only about money or power. It is about believing in yourself, treating others well, staying positive, and working hard every day. Their lessons are simple, but powerful, and they continue to help people reach their goals all around the world.
