CHAPTER 10 - SOCIETIES
Lessons from Freemasonry, La Cosa Nostra and the Navy Seals
FREEMASONRY / BROTHERHOOD FELLOWSHIPS

  1. Freemasonry was formally founded in England in 1717 yet had existed several hundred years prior. The original medieval freemasons were a sort of fraternity and trade association for highly educated and calculated stone masons whom created magnificent structures throughout Europe. The construction industry went into decline yet the masonic organizations only grew by shifting their focus to intellectual pursuits which would enable the members to survive, thrive and grow in the enlightenment era and beyond. Modern Freemasonry could be considered tantamount to a Kabbalah class for Gentiles.

    1.     Strong Ethical Foundation and Personal Discipline
Freemasonry emphasizes moral uprightness, integrity, and self-mastery—traits that are key to long-term success in any field. Members are taught to "make good men better," which reinforces accountability and responsibility. Business leaders and politicians like Harry S. Truman and J. Edgar Hoover were Masons who credited their disciplined, principled approach in part to Masonic teachings.

How to Perform LAB? (like a Billionaire)

    ·         Don’t Beat Em, Meet Em! I once had dinner with the founder of Domino’s Pizza Mr. Tom Monaghan.  Tom is not a freemason per se yet he attributes all of his success in life to a couple of organizations with related values of discipline.  We met in 2011 when he was only 74, at that time he was doing over 150 pushups every single day! He attributed all of his success in life to the discipline he developed while serving in the United States Marines and subsequently by becoming a part of a secret Catholic society known as “Opus Dei” He met the Pope and eventually founded his own society by the name of “Legatus” which generally only accepts Catholic members with annual revenues in excess of 9.5 million. Success, discipline and moral compass can be found in masonic organizations, the military, certain non-profits and even something as mundane as a local bowling league.  When you develop community relations through patterns, commitments and effort success is the natural byproduct.

    2.     Ritual and Esoteric Positive Programming

How to Perform LAB? (like a Billionaire)

Freemasons engage in memorized rituals filled with symbolism. These aren’t just for tradition—they act like a form of mental conditioning, instilling discipline, focus, and ethical thinking through repetition. This programming reinforces clarity of purpose and internal control, similar to what elite athletes or monks practice.

LA COSA NOSTRA

The Mafia has been remarkably successful for over a century. Originally founded in the 1800’s as a Republican style protection organization serving Citrus farmers in Sicily the organization grew adapting across continents, governments, and markets. Their success isn't due to mere brutality, but to a calculated blend of sociocultural leverage, economic savvy, secrecy, and strategic foresight.

1. Deep Roots in Culture and Community

The Mafia embeds itself in local culture, often acting as a parallel power where municipal authority is weak or distrusted. They offer services the locals cannot request from the government or religious institutions.  This brings perceived value to the citizens and great wealth to the organization.

How to Perform LAB? (like a Billionaire)

  • Start a Chamber of Commerce!  In many countries including the U.S. it is perfectly legal to launch your own chamber of commerce. A chamber is not always a civic based org; in many cases the association revolves around a culture, a common interest or industry i.e. The Holistic Chamber of Commerce, The Luxury Chamber of Commerce, The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce or the Marine Industries Chamber of Commerce.  Owning a for-profit chamber or launching a membership based 501(c) 6 (Hybrid not-for-profit) can enable you to offer services to locals on your own terms and forge deep roots within local cultural communities much in the same way as La Cosa Nostra yet 100% above board and legal!  *check with your local jurisdiction or launch in a jurisdiction where red tape is minimal. Many billionaires owe a great portion of their success to launching or becoming heavily active with Chambers of Commerce and similar orgs including: Frank Vandersloot, Sheldon Adelson, Lebanese descended Mexican Carlos Slim, Richard Branson and Tom Golisano.

  •           Be seen with respected locals! John Gotti was seen with an intimate group of local notables passing out frozen Turkeys to families in need around Thanksgiving. Similarly New York born Al Capone ran a soup kitchen which helped to positively consolidate his reputation and influence within Chicago culture and community. Sometimes being seen with a respected individual is not a public media affair rather an intimate gathering of a handful of select people. As a civilian you have the benefit of being able to turn your meeting into a public affair without fear of being interrogated or watched by law enforcement.

2. Omertà (Code of Silence)

Loyalty and silence are enforced by blood oaths, fear, and respect. This makes it nearly impossible for law enforcement to gather evidence. This facilitates continuity!

How to Perform LAB?

  • Strategic Discretion! Never speak and always listen. Implement clear confidentiality policies and role-based access to sensitive data. This avoids trade secret leaks and competitor exploitation.
  •  Establish your Inner Circle!  In the mob they call it the circle of made men. CEO’s of large corporation’s need a trusted board of directors. Small business owners need tried and true friends who have never gossiped or shared too much information yet have a passion for your business. Retired people who have no need for money need to develop a core group of socialites whom are loyal and will advance your interests in a +1 manner such as serving as a wing man at a ballroom charity dance or simply keeping quiet about the charity effort you are involved with.

3. Honesty

When asked a question you must always be 100% truthful. When asked a question outside of the circle you must be 100% silent. Made men and millionaires share the trait of honesty even when the listener does not like to hear the truth.

How to Perform LAB?

  • Stop the White Lies! Men of respect realize that fabricating a story justifying why you were late to a meeting could be just cause for a dirty deed!  These men would rather face the smaller punishment of a slap on the face or a strict warning than the worse eventual case scenario if the lie is ever uncovered. The internalization of honesty as an eternal covenant is a huge reward and it is embraced by most highly successful members of society. Honesty also increases your self-esteem and sense of self worth which eventually increases your financial worth also.  If someone asks: How are you? Don’t say that you are fine when you are shitty!  Instead say: let’s not go there or: It’s been challenging, I could use some help!  Got any ideas or solutions?
  • Surround yourself with honest people! If your inner circle thrives on gossip or deception hold them accountable for one another.  If accountability fails then go it alone until you forge another inner circle. With enough honesty, passion and sincerity you will always have G-d in your inner circle; and you will become a coveted member of his loyal league of lions!

  • Negotiate with Nobility! Surprisingly, honesty can be your edge. When you're straightforward, people lower their defenses. You’re seen as credible, not manipulative.

4. Business Strategies & Secrecy

Some of the secrets and tactics used by the mob are not always legal yet legal alternatives with similar benefits are almost always available. *As always everything published in this book is for entertainment purposes only

How to Perform LAB?

  • Incorporate a Private LLC! Use of shell companies, real estate, offshore banking, and cryptocurrency today makes their money almost untraceable. In the civilian world a private LLC can also provide 100% anonymity. The secrecy of owning a cloaked corporation provides many benefits including protection from lawsuits and the ability to own controversial land, businesses or other entities and or the ability to bid on such said entities without being known to the general public and media. Cannabis in Podunk town, USA might be legal but will it be tomorrow? You might have several high-profile investors in another company and desire to profit from an industry which they do not agree with. In this case a secret LLC is imperative. To start a private LLC find a registered agent to receive legal mail in Delaware of Wyoming.  The registered agent does not need to be an attorney; in fact you can be your own registered agent yet that would remove the privacy factor.  It needs to be somebody you can trust with a street address and willingness to receive mail and legal notices on behalf of your llc. File the articles of incorporation in that state. Then file another LLC which owns the first LLC to double ensure privacy!
  • The Eminence Front!  In the underworld front companies were used for funneling cash and money laundering.  In the civilian world front companies can be used legally to investigate your competition, test market a new concept, navigate regulatory compliance or to conduct a diplomacy mission abroad. A front can be a simple website with a private domain or a common Plebeian who dons an expensive Armani suit at a fine event. In the corporate world a front might include an actual operating restaurant in a certain area which is designed to study the local culture and collect data which could eventually contribute to the corporate bottom line should they choose to truly launch there. A large wine company might choose to open a front business as an olive oil boutique store as this will attract similar foodies without alarming the competitors.

  • The Silent Partners!  Either find silent partners or be silenced yourself! In the civilian realm finding a silent partner for your business enables you to receive business funding while still maintaining control over how you operate the entity. Silent partners are usually older business people with a good degree of wisdom; you can sometimes tap in on that wisdom and guidance. Taking on a silent partner is a way to share the risk. If the business fails you both lose!
  • Offshore Banking! The phrase conjures up images of a wealthy man in a white linen suit donning a Panama hat and holding an aluminum Zero-Halliburton briefcase in some exotic tropical nation. Clandestine organizations have long used offshore banking to launder funds, avoid taxation and land clout in strategic regions. As a civilian offshore banking if perfectly legal. In fact, I have a bank account in Venezuela which I left open from when I taught English there in 1998. FinCEN is the treasury bureau division which enforces offshore banking crime. They have 300 employees compared to the IRS which investigates tax evasion within the USA and has 100,000 employees. To learn more about offshore banking look up a gentleman by the name of “Luigi Wewege” the President of Ambergis Caye Bank in Belize.  He has a plethora of pertinent knowledge. Belize does not grant 100% privacy for U.S. citizens they do report U.S. accounts to the IRS. Dubai offers 100% secrecy from the IRS until an audit investigation request occurs at which point, they reserve the right to disclose your information. As of 2025 the best option is to set up an offshore trust in the Cook Islands or Nevis.  They provide the highest level of security and secrecy.  Another option is to open your own bank in a small country such as Paraguay or the southeast coast of Africa!

  • Change your Identity! In genre of high stakes crime identity change was used to avoid law enforcement and to live a double life of deception. In Hollywood a name change is generally enacted to make the actor appear more glamorous or more American (normal sounding) such as the case of Kirk Douglas who was born as Issur Danielovitch.  Bob Dylan who was born in northern Minnesota as Robert Zimmerman changed his name to be free and to honor a poet he was very inspired by. He believes that we live in the land of the free and you can name yourself whatever you damn well chose! Vin Diesel formerly Marc Sinclair shortened his mother’s maiden name to sound tougher for Hollywood action flicks! Charlie used his father’s stage name, he was formerly Carlos Estevez. Singer Bruno Mars (Peter Hernandez) was inspired by the world’s strongest man Bruno Sammartino, his dad called him Bruno from a young age and he conjectured Mars as it means out of this world. Coincidentaly the surname Mars is a Jewish surname and Bruno has a good amount of Jewish ancestry. Natalie Portman was formerly Hershlag and took her grandmother’s maiden name strictly for privacy reasons. Nicholas Cage is a Coppola and changed his name to Nick Cage after being inspired by Luke Cage who was a black super hero in a Marvel comic book, the underlying reasoning was that he wanted a name of his own as an actor and not appear to be relying on his grandfather Francis Ford Coppola. If you want to change your name for business, religious or cultural reasons simply choose the new name, visit the main courthouse in the county in which you reside, fill out an application, pay a small fee ($200 -$300) bring your driver license, birth certificate and passport along with utility bills and lease proving residence. Then wait for the judge to assign a court date.  Show up on time to court along with two witnesses whom are willing to vouch that you are changing your name for legit reasons as opposed to fleeing from the law! The judge will grant the approval on the spot or within a few weeks. Once the name change is approved return to the courthouse and purchase several certified copies of the name change order and them provide them to Social Security (SSA), DMV, US Customs, Offshore Accounts, IRS, Employer and Voter Registration.
